Appliance and white goods disposal in Swindon
Fridges, freezers, washing machines, tumble dryers, cookers and dishwashers. These are the items most likely to be refused elsewhere, because they cannot legally go in a general load.
- Licensed waste carrier
- Fully insured
- 90%+ recycled
Why appliances are treated differently
Fridges and freezers contain refrigerant gases, and electricals fall under WEEE rules. They have to be handled through a specific stream rather than tipped with general waste, which is why a lot of general clearance outfits will not take them.
Out of the kitchen, not just off the drive
Appliances are heavy and usually plumbed into a tight space. We take them from where they stand, including out of fitted units and up or down stairs.
Documented disposal
As a licensed waste carrier the load is traceable, which matters more with appliances than with almost anything else we take.
Appliance & white goods disposal: common questions
- Can you take a fridge freezer?
- Yes. They contain gases that must be recovered properly, so they go through the correct WEEE stream rather than a general load.
- Does it need disconnecting first?
- Ideally yes, unplugged and drained where relevant. If it is still plumbed in tell us and we will allow time.
- Do you take TVs and computers?
- Yes, they are electricals and go through the same route as the larger appliances.
